For the past few years, I've been travelling to Bangkok for shopping trips. I will bring an empty luggage, throw an empty hand luggage into my big luggage and return with a VERY full big luggage and a super bulky hand luggage that I usually have difficulty zipping up. I would usually buy lots and lots of clothing, but not many shoes though bcos I have always had the impression that the cheap shoes sold in Bkk are usually not comfortable or not lasting (which I found out on my recent trip that I was so wrong...haha...they r actually quite comfortable, better than Vincci and cheaper too, and I bought FOUR pairs), but the good & nice shoes are always too expensive to buy, so it has always been clothing, handbags and accessories and occassionally one good pair of irresistable shoes that are usually quite expensive :P So, with all these fantastic shopping trips to Bkk, I would rarely shop in Malaysia. But, for the past few months, I've been shopping quite a bit here to release stress & tension...What stress & tension?? some of you might ask...well, it doesn't have to be because of work, it can be other reasons, PMS maybe? HAHA...or just something that triggered anger & frustration or disappointment in me...but ever since my sister's wardrobe's hanging bar collapsed under the weight of my clothing and my own wardrobe bursting out and my mom nagging me about wasting so much money on clothing, I have turned to buying SHOES & some, only SOME, occassional clothing to release the tension. In order to FULLY satisfy my shopping craze, I have been buying lots and lots of shoes...now my mom threatens to throw them out if I do not wear them soon :P I have so many to the extent, I've got almost 6-8 pairs which I have never worn before...I have about 10 which I've never worn more than 3 times...I know...it's terrible, but I can't help it...when I see a nice pair of shoe, I just buy it...but I never get the chance to wear them :S If any of you have read the Shopoholic series, you guys will know what I mean...hahaha...I am something like that...BUT not to that extent lah!
I recently watched "In Her Shoes" starring Cameron Diaz & Toni Collette...In this movie, Toni had a wardrobe full of NEW & beautiful shoes that she never/rarely wears...and I laughed at myself when I saw that scene, it reminded me of ME...hahaha...I buy them but never seem to find the occassion to wear them to...in fact most of the time, I forget what shoes I have...then when I am free at home, I go through all my shoe boxes only to realise, huh?? I have this shoe???...hahaha :P How I wish I had that type of wardrobe for my shoes...all lined up, then MAYBE I'd remember to wear them...and be able to find an occassion to wear them to...
A few months back, I bought about 12 shoes within a month!!! I have them all in my room, so last month as I was sitting in my room, I looked at my collection of shoes and started counting the number of pairs that I've got and I SHOCKED myself...I have about 70 pairs of shoes AND then I remembered...I have another 10 pairs at Sam's house!!! Oh my!!!...I took some pictures of my shoe collection...here it is...

Wait!! There is more...ON TOP...and behind the Eclipse shoe boxes...in RED...

Oh...and behind the wall of shoe boxes...MORE shoes...

...and some more here beside the bedroom door...

and oh...before I forget...just outside my bedroom...hahaha...

...plus the 10 pairs at Sam's place :P
So, now I try my very best to refrain from buying any more and I am reminding myself everyday to wear different clothes, different shoes, go through my boxes of accessories and find something to match & wear - from earrings, necklaces, hairbands, hair clips, bangles, watches, handbags, belts...etc - I have to wear them all and make it worth the money spent...otherwise, like my mom always nags...it is a WASTE of money!!! I know, I know...sigh...but I am only FEMALE...muahahaha... :P
